LindyBill - I really liked your analysis.

I guess my last big question is - whereas I feel that many people are not in the "un-educated consumer" category regarding, say, insisting on paying much more for a "name" brand dishwashing powder, virtually everyone starts out on the Internet as a "moron," but ... a lot of people then learn their way out of being "useless."

(Sorry I cannot come up with a more clear sentence).
