Fore/Euristix -3: First Call 4Q Net View 12c/Shr

A First Call survey of 15 analysts predicted Fore Systems would earn 12 cents a share during the fourth quarter.
For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 1998, the network equipment supplier earned $13.2 million, or 13 cents a share, on revenue of $131.2 million.
Fore Systems, which previously had about 1,900 employees, said the acquisition adds about 150 employees.
The first product resulting from the acquisition will be a network management system combining Fore's ForeView software and the Euristix Raceman EMSX element management system. The product is expected to ship in the third quarter of calendar 1999.
Euristix makes products for networking, wireless roaming, signaling interworking and voice-over-IP.
