K The Investor and I are putting together a consortium to take over
VLSI <vbg>.

Will let you know if we are going to top out Philips bid. May need additional cash from Addi.

I think LSI is definitely in the picture now. Steinman has no other choice but to shop the company. LSI will be the white knight.

VLSI and LSI makes perfect fit. After takeover, get rid of 95% of admin., sales and marketing, regional offices, consolidate design centers, manufacturing, design efforts etc. etc. Just that will add 25% margins to VLSI's sales $$s. In addition, the huge proportion of VLSI sales, ~28%, to Ericy becomes a non-problem at <<10% sales for combined company to one customer. Great IP synergy.... a match made in heaven.
