Can't help myself,....

Ever since I was a kid, I always admired the open-ice hip check that pastes a high flying winger, skating with his head down or looking back for a pass. (And I say that having been a high flying winger). (g)

"Keep your head up" takes on new meaning. (g)

Best, Earlie

To All, If you want to read part of what the Merrill analyst really said, read reply # 49,626 on the Compaq thread. Having read the actual report, the CBS report has the numbers accurate and Reuters is either vague or wrong. 1. He is calling for unit growth of 15% over the next several years. He is wrong. And not too low. 2. He quotes Dataquest as saying that revenue growth was 1 percent in 1998. 3. The 3-5% numbers are his revenue estimates for 1999, and correspond to Dataquest and IDC inaccurate forecasts.

I was ticked off at BGR and Chuzz, but in all honesty, I should have read the reversed standard version they were quoting. Though both these cheeseheads would love to catch me in a lie, the fault for the bad numbers lies with Reuters.

Best,

MB
