CYC, I like both issues and own TIE. But, yes, I do think you have to be very cautious on any buys and long positions. I have 10% of my total portfolio allocated to longs, stocks and commodities, and even that skinny portion is only half full right now. I always like to have some longs and biotechs are my favorite. Let's face it, if you get a drug that treats a disease and it works, the business cycle is not a problem. Of course, the funding cycle can be a big problem with higher rates. <g> Still, I see drugs as defensive. However, big drug cos. are too overpriced right now, so the small bios are a good place to focus a small long position, IMHO.
