BTW, this came by on CPQ:

Analyst Michael Kwatinetz told his salesforce he cut his $0.36 Q1 EPS estimate to $0.31 as a result of lowering its revenue estimate and gross margin assumptions. In addition, he cut his $1.75 1999 forecast to $1.70. He lowered his $10 billion Q1 revenue estimate to $9.8 billion. Kwatinetz notes that the company indicated demand was fine in services, at the high end, but the overall business in North America and Europe has been tracking below expectations for first six weeks of the quarter. Additionally, Kwatinetz says the 38% devaluation of Brazilian real will likely impact the top line and gross margin. However, he says the services business appears to be benefitting from integration, but the risk of increased channel friction remains. He rates the shares buy. Per S&P.
