Midnightsun, I've just read over the last 50 posts also, and I didn't take offense to anything that was said... I can't speak for Jane, but I know what she means as far as the investments go.... I think what she is saying is to do your own DD, don't trust anyone else's opinion of a stock. I do not think it is a blanket 'trust no one in you life' sort of thing. If someone comes out and says "Company X is going to the moon... buy now...." or even if someone says "I know that Company X is going to have an announcement, and it will effect the stock's price" then don't buy until you have done your own DD... Don't trust the information from that poster as your only reason for purchasing Company X. To do so, would be purely speculative gambling, and I don't think you would last very long doing so. Did you get something else out of what was said? I especially liked the link Jane put up on the SEC site. That was a good read. Jack
