I think this part of the Fool article sums it up nicely: "Let's be serious -- Dell's quarterly revenue and unit growth were strong, but a little less strong than expected. It might have been too careful on pricing (as if that's a bad thing), but there was nothing wrong with its cash flows. Compaq, on the other hand, has signs of dysfunctionality" My CPQ sell signal should have been when Dan Niles (on CNBC) said he didn't think their 3 weeks of inventory (vs. Dell's 7 days) was a big deal. For those of you who haven't read the Fool article - it's a must read. -ac

Wow Chuzz....If this were Newsweek (page 10 or so...whatever that rating column is called)....I guess Compaq would get a thumbs-down, and JIM KELLEY WOULD GET A BIG THUMBS UP!

Jim took a lot of abuse of the CPQ thread in January....looks like he (again) saw something few picked up on....
