I saw Ireland this morning dancing around the issue of the rape, walking a tight rope between not saying the girl is full of crap but at the same time refusing to condemn Clinton. You are exactly right that if it were a Republican they would resigning by Friday because there would be such an outcry from the likes of NOW. Clinton & Clinton must be happy that the country doesn't care anymore what Clinton has done. He's going to finish his term and the public doesn't want to hear anymore about it.

X, I am not sure that it is fair to say at this point that there is a total lack of interest on the issue of Juanita Broaddrick by women's groups. On Meet the Press this morning, Patricia Ireland did agree that there should be a civil investigation--that the president should present his records on where he was on the day in question, records he has but has refused to provide. I would say from its importance on the Sunday news programs, the issue is not going to simply immediately fade away, thank goodness. Here is the synopsis of the program from MSNBC's web site.
