IndustryView for AAP is a shop floor control software application adapted for use in final assembly programs, which allows CompuCom greater control of the overall assembly process. The IndustryView for AAP software was developed by IBM and piloted jointly by CompuCom and IBM as part of their ongoing efforts to refine final assembly processes. As implemented, the software gives CompuCom full control of the assembly process at the component level, to include any combination of memory, processor, and other components. The Build From Parts program expands this process by allowing authorized BFP resellers to install memory on a build-to-order basis according to customer specifications.
