Paul,

The Presario 5600 Internet PC Series offers the customer the choice of the Intel Pentium III or the AMD-K6-III processor

Good news for Intel. Compaq still mentions their name first.

Your point being?????? This just shows Compaq thinks the K6-III is worthy of being in the same model line of PCs as the PIII.

Maybe this will help you bring your point across.

"In a first for Advanced
Micro Devices, the chipmaker sold more desktop PC
processors than Intel
during January
, according to an
industry survey released Friday.

AMD (AMD)'s AMD-K6 processors
accounted for 43.9 percent of all
desktop PC chip sales, PC Data said.
Intel (INTC) had a 40.3 percent share
of unit sales
and Cyrix had a 15.8
percent share.

On a day in which most tech shares
fell, Intel's stock tumbled 7 13/16 to
119 15/16. AMD shares were flat at
18 1/8."

Why don't tell us how this is good for Intel, Paul.

You don't have any type of point to make, do you???
