victor: we are seeing a revolving take out of tech sectors coming prior to a spring runup and late spring swoon, in my view. telecom/networking take out is in the cards, too. But all this is just noise. The broad secular trends are still very much intact. That's what the macro-numbers are telling us. CPQ has its problems, the pc industry has its problems; I don't mean to minimize either. But the reasons I am in tech stocks in general and, in this case, CPQ in particular, are solid: this is where money is being made and will continue to be made over the long term. M2

Niles says this pull back is over reaction in regard to CPQ and maintains his rating and price target of 60's by end of yr. March will be better than Feb, this is a speed bump. Doesn't necessarily agree with Merril's .05 reduction, he says who knows.. he's not changing his predictions, if 1st Q is lower 2nd will be better 'cause of P III.

Correct, Victor, however it was a neutral for the short term.
