looks like we have different trading styles...obvious time and place for market orders/limit/gtc/mental stops...i'd never elminate this as a choice, however.

...with Datek, I do not look to scalp/daytrade. Rather, some simple TA for entry/exit point whether limit/market suffices. I'm not focused on 1/8-1/4 point...looking for a larger move. matter of fact, some of my best position trades have produced over 100 point gains (yhoo cmgi, aol) coming in/out with market orders.

Strong argument can also be made for market orders on entry/exit for daytrading too, although something I have yet to try.
