Regarding your new homepage: A@P, I am not an artist, nor a professional web designer, I am just an engineer working on web pages all the time. The following is just my opinion, don't take it personally: 1. The design is too simple, the lines are too thick, it does not give me the feeling of a webpage that being carefully designed. It gives me a feeling of a webpage done in a hurry. 2. I believe the whole webpage is just based on simple html, no java, java scripts invovled, not even some good cgi-bins. I am not saying this is not good; however, a sophisciated stock picker should make enough to pay for a very good web design. (that;s why people buy expensive cars just cuz they are expensive) 3. All the gifs on your webpage shows poor quality, seems like some part time work just by using photo-shop. Those images are relative big, which will take longer time to load on slow modem lines and better images can be done with much smaller sizes if you use jpg format instead of gifs. images sizes determine the download speed and download speed determines how many people willing to wait to see your webpage. 4. The sizes of the images are not specified in the source code, views won't be able to see the bottom of the page until all the images are loaded. This is bad cuz most of viewers lose paitence while waiting for that to happen. 5. The only good thing about the background is the color. It makes you think about the color of money. However, I do think the background is too messy and distorting. 6. If you can still take more negative comments, I will continue in next post. L.
