Ac, I am also buying more in the $20. range. Having taken my initial position in Nov. 1994 at 5/8 pre-reverse split, and having bought and sold along the way around my core position - THQ represents compelling value in spite of the negative Small Cap sentiment at this time. The revenue and earnings growth were outstanding - congrats to Chris for nailing the revenue projection. Brian is obviously pissed about THQ's current valuation - I listened to the entire CC. He wasn't happy last year when I met him at RedChip, Scottsdale. He felt that THQ should be trading on a par with ERTS, or a multiple of 30. He said if not on par, then at least at 90% of that multiple. Lets see: 30 x 90% = 27 x $2.00/eps = $54.00. Sound about right Todd? I am in favor of a stock buyback only for symbolic reasons. Announce a 1M share buyback and only buy back 100,000 shares - send a message to wall street and give the traders a short term pop. I would also like to see THQ use some of that cash horde ($50M at Q1 end) to buy additional content; franchise brands (I wanted them to buy MPRS big time), and to especially develop additional OEM content - the street loves proprietary content, especially if it becomes a hit (extensions - cross platform). Who ever said it was a "hit driven" business should be slapped. THQ had 3 of the top 20 hits in the Jan. TRSRT's charts. BF manages THQ's games as an Investment Manager would manage his portfolio, for total return. Management has done a marvelous job, its time that Wall Street recognize it.
