<<Looks like your CYA theory of inventory management is taking shape.>>
John, In times gone by everyone everywhere used(to a greater or lesser extent) some type of formalized CYA. It at times was based on a lareg sale or an unusual good supply of something which could be stored for future bad times. Other places and other times drove extra inventory basd on possible bad winter weather or elimination of an auto model from production and keeping a repair parts inventory. We are just now learning the entire cost of J.I.T. inventory and how we were all lying to ourselves and each other that air freight was cheaper.

we are only returning to the "norm" with a little extra swing to the excessive.
