Why not?

Something has to remain constant. You can keep the heat generation constant, or the voltage, or the chip size, etc. Then you can compare the chips performance.

Right now all I see is just a comparison of announced Mhz. Doesn't this ignore the point that you've got to keep something constant to make a valid comparison?
