Mr Pink...a BB junkie throws himself upon Your good graces

i have followed Your thread for some time and i and verily pleased with what i have read. i do hold a bunch of blue chip longs, but i'm cursed with a yearning for the BB's. They are soooo small and pretty and I've convinced my wretched self that i can make a killing every week if i can play them juuuusssssst right. Of course this does not happen and it affords me much pain at times, but also much joy – alas not enough. i want to feel joy all the time.

Here's my latest scheme for which that i've requested feedback of my fellow BBer's:

+++++
I've seen so many volume/price run up's into News and the subsequent partial sell off, that would this be a sensible strategy to play in the general sense? What are the probabilities of this type of strategy succeeding? What are the key indicators to look for in addition to volume/price run ups + elevation of interest which can be somewhat assessed by reading the relevant threads on SI and elsewhere?

This is playing the stock very closely I'll admit, where all/part of a holding is sold following News to then be repurchased shortly thereafter at a lower price, if it retraces somewhat of course. It is very risky and I would appreciate your comments. The strategy would only work for stocks that have strong near- to mid-term upward potential I guess.
+++++

That's me...always looking for just the right angle... i don't want to keep wandering anymore. i am getting better with my picks, DD and strategy implementation, and i know that i can learn a great deal from Your wisdom.

i stole this post from john (post #6989):

i feel an affinity for ‘sb' as i have felt his pain.

i didn't follow You to the Yahoo boards after You voluntarily put SI on a one week suspension. Yahoo frightens me – it's anarchy over there – it's rife with much pillaging, debauchery, quaffing of ale and foul–mouthed hooligans. However, i read Your post (#6220 from memory) in January and SI nuked it!! Look here for a post referring to Your nuked wisdom – there's nothing there – no post # – just a blank:

Message 7306082

Should i continue to play the BB's? Should i cast the cursed little ones out? If You advise that i should – i'm frightened that the pain my be unbearable and beyond me. Please please say that i can continue to play with the little one's, but to be very very careful. Pleeeeeaaaaasssseeeeeeeeeeee!!! i'm afraid of Your answer and the potential pain You may ask me to suffer through...

Any advice that You can asist me with would be much appreciated.

A very good weekend to You and Mrs Pink

david

Mr Pink - PDX - real interesting situation - got a nice laugh out of that post to boot. I will have to do some follow up, as you know I love those that uncover fraud situations (specialty).

Once again already making money on SYLAN thanks a million.

Dr. Joyce Peabody calls doctors "wimps" that don't bill enough at meeting....What does this tell you about their culture.....Don't the doctor's that save little babies' lives deserve better?

Better a wimp than a blood sucker!
