Howard, great description of the OMGA action! I'm not questioning your interpretation, but could you explain for a newbie shorter how a short squeeze is profitable for the MMs?

It seems that it would take enormous capital to artificially support a price with 1000 share orders streaming bye. If the MM knows there is no inherent value, but plans to panic the shorts, will there be sufficient volume at the higher prices to unload ALL the buying they did earlier profitably, or will their selling just push the price back below the original support area, yielding no gain/no loss?

I don't understand the numbers....

thanks for your posts on OMGA...i don't have level 2, and due to financial constraints / my broker, am unable to get into most of the shorts here. but that was a real informative read, which will hopefully help me get into 'reading' the market before things happen.

that's why this is one of the few boards i have bookmarked; thanks to anthony, you, others for making it quite constructive. i only hope my minimal mentions (ie. bfly the other day) are helpful...
