Scumbria has argued in essence that AMD has a different process, hence you can't simply reduce the voltage to compare it to Intel's process on an equivalent basis. (Please correct me if I'm wrong, Scumbria)

If, for example, AMD etches wider (or deeper) "troughs" but places them closer together than Intel, might the AMD process be capable of higher voltage throughput at the same line width?

It seems overly simplistic to just compare announced CPU Mhz without normalizing in some way - especially since these chips can seemingly be overclocked so easily. Maybe normalizing by voltage is unfair. Can you suggest some other way to normalize so that a more valid comparison is possible?
