Hi Jean-Robert,

Do you have any idea as to which companies are presently being considered for acquisition? What industry are they in? And what time frame? In your opinion will it occur prior to the end of current quarter?

IMO, if something doesn't happen soon many investors will lose patience and move on. Last quarter was very disappointing. No split, no acquisition announcement!!

thanks,

SirVinny

Does anyone here think that PEROT SYSTEMS INC. could be on the short list of possible acquisitions. It is an IT company. And because of the name, it would give CGI almost instant recognition in US.

I think you're right in that CGI wants to ensure a fair price and win-win situation for both parties - neither party would want a deal based on a short term price blip due to a share split.

As for timing, I really don't have any idea. I have seen enough of CGI management to trust that they will act en temps et lieu, i.e. when the time is right to do so and in terms of what's best for shareholders, not the momentum players.
