I don't know what, or if, there are any provisions for cases like this. We already know that when he runs out of leave there will be a number of weeks where he will get nothing before the rest of us are allowed to contribute our own leave to him. Which is why we have already taken up a cash collection. We are also collecting canned goods to give his family, and some of the carriers are selling baked goods in a fund raiser. I'll find out what I can about the situation and post it here. This has all happened in the last 2-3 weeks, and for the first few days we didn't even know how sick he actually is.
