DAISY, some questions for you about brokers.

Hi DAISY, just looked at your profile and was hoping you could help me with this. When I look at a level 2 screen, is it correct for me to assume that all bids/offers being displayed are from MM's besides those from INCA, ARCA or ISLD? Am I correct in thinking that INCA, ARCA and ISLD are only used by "small" individual investors like you or me... while all the other bids/offers I see are from MM's at work?

Also, let's assume I had an account at Merril and Fidelity and ETrade. Let's also assume that none of those companies make a market in OMGA. Let's also assume I call in an order to those 3 for 1000 shares at the best bid price (whatever it may be)... Daisy, do you know how these brokers would handle my order? Would a Merril broker call an OMGA MM that he/she knows well (let's say HRZG), and would HRZG then display my order at the best bid price on Level 2?.. or is it that my best bid would not ever get displayed, rather the Merril broker would call around to various MM's and see if anybody would sell to my bid resulting in a transaction/print without my bid ever showing up on level 2? I guess what I am trying to get at is if I see a MM moving up or down on the bid on Level 2, could that be a reflection of the MM displaying a bid for a customer or do MM's not ever do that. Thanks---- Not Howie
