<<Conclusion: Withdraw and stockpile some cash now. Shoot for at least three months' cash requirements. Don't wait. Start now.>> I agree with you about withdrawing cash now, sir. Let's say that I am an average middle-class Joe and I withdraw $7,500 from now until August 99. Around March/April 2000 Y2K "glitches" begin major disruptions. Now I didn't think to convert any of my "paper" into metal. A loaf of bread, if it can be found, is selling for $15. Water is $20/gal., etc... My question: What really is 3 months cash requirement in paper currency if the cost of goods and services to SURVIVE 3 MONTHS (that's a very long time) escalates 500%, 1000%? The government is "printing more money" before 2000 knowing that the paper will be worthless. OUR government leaders will be nowhere around to witness the devastation of such unprecedented magnitude. And the little guy is duped again. Let's take a trip back in time to Post-WW1 Germany -- after the Versailles Treaty the Germans were left with worthless paper marks, but one American Dime 1. Paid off the mortgage 2. Procured black market goods and services My grandparents (mother's side) lived through it. Devaluation. Inflation. Starvation. Ultimate Degradation of human life. My point being: Physical ownership of silver & gold, bought today for $7,500, seems to be the only logical solution for the little guy. Yeah, I've taken "Money" out of the bank, but most of it has gone towards physical metal, generators, bulk food, medical supplies w/accompanying literature, some self-defense items,.....the list goes on. And I'm checking it twice... I'm no Economist. I just know a good scam when I see one, and I'm not getting suckered into this one; you can't take THAT to the bank. Lorraine
