SsAMDria - Re: "Are we forgetting that early K7 silicon runs at 500 MHz in a .25 process?"

Are we forgetting that AMD shipped a K63 to Anand in December of last year that ran at 450 MHz ---- and that TODAY they STILL ARE NOT SHIPPING 450 MHz K63's even they have JACKED UP THE VOLTAGES to 2.4 VOLTS ?

You keep clinging to your fantasy stories.

Ever seen a K7 ?

Ever seen a 500 MHz K7 running?

Ever seen a 333 MHz K7?

Scoot on over to Fry's tomorrow and pick up an HP Pavilion Pentium III running at 500 MHz.

You can take one home with you.

And I GUARANTEE you it is faster than a 500 MHz K7.
