>>What is the "system monitor" I'll leave it on top if someone here can tell what I need to do.<<

"System Monitor" is a program you can find in Programs/Accessories/System Tools **IF** it is installed on your system. If it's not there you can install it by going into Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs/Windows Setup.

I'm using Windows 95, but I'd imagine Windows 98 has it too.

There's a bunch of things that System Monitor lets you monitor -- you configure it as you please. For my purposes, the most important are %cpu usage and Free Memory.

I have 64MB on my system, and it is easily chewed up if I run one other large program besides RT. Joseph says he has the same problem and that it goes away with a re-boot, which makes it sound even more like a memory problem, although I can't imagine where 128MB's is going.

Conclusion: Anybody's guess, but it's less of a guess if you use System Monitor. Batteries sold separately.

PS An easy way to tell if System Monitor is installed is go into "Find" and search your C: drive for "sysmon" (without the quotes). If you find it there, you can just click on it and it will run.
