The statement and the later retraction of the false IBM buyout seems to correlate strongly to the stock price movement - but may just have been fuel added to the fire.
The problem is most of the YHOO boards aren't any better once hypster get dug in. Though this is the first time - I saw two buyout statements (within a couple of days) phrased that way. Usually these attempts to hype a stock start with "the rumor is....".
