What is the downside to doing this every month and adding 72% to my portfolio annually?
Hey, you tell me, you are doing damn well at it! Obviously, if you guess wrong, you lose your bet, but you haven't been doing that lately.

Dear Uncle, re: your covered calls.

I have been wondering the same thing: what's so bad about a sure 72% added income on a core long position, if what you are giving up is the POTENTIAL future appreciation beyond the strike price.

Sure works sweet in a sideways market.
