But there is always a first time <g> Seriously, I think we might bounce here because we had close to panic selling, but...
First, interest rates are moving up. This is a negative for the market and growth stocks in particular. Second, we are starting to see insider selling in the semi caps as well as corporate dilution. VECO just did 3MM (2MM insiders and 1MM new) NVLS announced 3MM (new) but it is doubtfull they can get it off and CYMI insiders have registered with the SEC. All in all I would use caution here and give the market time to tell us what it wants to do. I don't think that PRIA, VECO, etc can establish a major up move here without several months of time going by since there has been too much structural damage done to the group. A long drawn out semi recovery could create some scary moments to the longs and equally scary ones for the shorts. In times like this it is best to sit back and wait until we start trending one way or the other without the emotional baggage of a major position.
One last word: if by some chance NVLS brings the deal anyway, get out.
