Bobby, what are you doing up this early?

I caught a short CNN clip about it (I mean about the FCC ruling--not about you being up this early.) Many of us already already went through the "pay by the minute" rule with our net providers and just because we got a big break where people even on smaller incomes can afford to be on the net, some slimy politician just has to tax it. The net has opened a new era in freedom which obviously frightens a sordid faction of cheap politicos and bureaucrats trying to run the show.

Do it in an off year election and don't enforce it right away so by the time one notices the extra charges being levied, nobody remembers who was responsible, and anyway--it can all be blamed on the FCC. An extra dollar or two a month on your phone bill? Who's going to notice? And you're right--at some distant point the tax may rival the amount spent to subscribe to a provider. You've heard of the "Boston Tea Party"? Well how about an FFC Party? --Al
