I just don't think that would happen. I mean AOL to by ATT. Just to soon and to much money.

How about a hostile takeover? It's been tried before, and was not successful due to a last-minute poison pill that Case and the AOL directors put in. But would T try it again, and at the current market cap? Hard to imagine. If they tired it we might double our money, but I would not be interested in a tender offer even for a double. Just wild speculation...

I think more likely would be either AOL spinning off its ISP service and selling it to T, or AOL entering a joint venture with T.

However, there is the AOL/WorldCom partnership to consider.

This is all very complex, and I suspect it is all exploratory talking among gorillas. Whatever Case comes up with, I'm sure we shareholders will profit.

There would be much more than market cap to consider. Other numbers
are so far out of whack between the two companies that anything more
than some kind of joint venture seems highly unlikely:

AOL AT&T
Market Cap: 74,834.03 150,369.49 (million)
PE: 342.42 29.04
Cash flow/share: .69 4.69
Sales/share: 6.19 29.61
