"I erroneusly thought that interest on US securities was not deductible against againt income on Canadian stocks..." One of the BEST investments I ever made was to place my tax situation in the hands of an accountant. The guy I use also does financial planning and a host of other stuff. His fees reflect his training and experience, but I feel he's saved me what I pay him many fold, EACH year. I think he's keeping me out of jail too. PW. P.S. I feel a strong obligation to pay the tax I owe, BUT NOT ONE @#$%&* CENT MORE.
