Hi Dave, My very imperfect understanding is that ISPs and AOL would like to erase @HOME's last mile advantage by imposing upon it common carrier status, with all the interconnection burdens this would impose. But now that @HOME is wedded to a content provider/aggregator (Excite), this would seem to place them outside the reach of the common carrier model. I am more technically and legally challenged than many on this thread. But I believe these are important issues and appreciate the opportunity to learn. Thanks for helping to clarify some of these issues. (If others can help, please chime in.) Sam
