I actually am not sure where that $50mm number came from -- aside from the WSJ.

I was not able to get a number in my conversations with the company.

I will say this, however. This order was priced to win. So, from a gross margin standpoint, we shouldn't expect the world from this order -- except to the extent that it allows the company to amortize some overhead (which is not a small benefit).

The opposite is true for the relationship between LRCX and Samsung. This win is (and was viewed by the company and all companies in the running) very strategic. It was a combination technology and capacity buy ... with a solid emphasis on the former. This is important. When Samsung goes back to make the inevitable big capacity buys, LRCX is in an infinitely better position ... i.e., they really control their destiny.

Again, given all the crap that went on last week, I can not help but think that the Market is way off base here. The magnitude of this win should not be underestimated, IMHO.
