Mr. Fiondella, once again you are in left field.

The complaint brought to the FTC has nothing to do with using the ID as a anti-piracy tool. Nor did the FTC investigation start because of the ID controversy.

What the CDT is arguing is that Intel is deceiving customers by not telling them how the ID can be abused. That's like accusing Mastercard and Visa of deceiving users of their credit cards by not telling them how the credit card number can be abused.

Also, the CDT complaint is designed to fostered debate on privacy and the Net. Where in the world does the Wintel relationship enter the CDT complaint?

Paul, That's exactly the point! IT's sure tough seeing Intel take the brunt of the flack for something that's gonna benefit Microsoft so greatly in the war against piracy.
