The religion teaches the perfect Peace of God as its first precept. Everything else hangs from that. So, if I fail in my attempts to serve that message or other people do, it is not the religions fault. It is mine. Its easy to justify my ego through the religion if I am a weak person who wants to appear all powerful. Actually I think this is your real complaint. You are correct in this sense and you should spare no breath in condemning people like this. But, you are wrongfully applying your hatred to a huge population of innocent people when you lump them according to sex or religion. We are not all the same. There are corrupt individuals wielding the religion to suit their personal and greedy aspirations. In fact if the Quran is truthful as I believe it to be, this is the vast majority. That makes them no different than the mainstream except by which banner they are crowded under. That being the case, it is kind of pointless to continually push a rumble with them. People don't have to have read the Qu'ran to commit evil acts. I agree with you that it is especially disappointing when they use God to justify stupidity. Of course these honor killings are not common or pervasive in the practice of Islamic religion for the over 1 billion people living on the planet with you. It is in fact, extremely rare. If calling it Islamic tradition justifies your bigoted view point of people at large, so be it. You say you hate religion, because it fits your anti male philosophy. OK, but when you post to me you never post anything from the religion. Just isolated examples of heinous acts committed by religious people. Well, we are talking about 1 billion people. Show me any population of 1 billion people, religious or not, and I am sure we will have the standard bell curve on acts of stupidity. Glad to see you are getting over your cold.
