You could buy a dell computer and have more choices of where to get streaming quotes. My next computer will be a DELL P3. My sister just bought DELL and she is a first time computer user.. she loves her DELL computer.

Keith--yes, I can recommend ww.quote.com (world wide quote--NOT quote.com),
which I use with my Mac clone. Streaming real-time quotes, charts, on-going trades
on bottom half of screen, portfolio value in real-time works very well with my cable modem. Very reasonable fee of only
$30 per month for NY & NASDAQ quotes. This is a good quote service
only--I use my Fidelity account for trading. Since it works by Java,
goes on in background, you can easily navigate other browser windows
without interrupting quote screen. No need to give up your Mac. This
was the perfect solution for me. Check it out--not yet widely known.
Caveat: if you don't have access to cable modem, may not work as reliably.
They will let you try it out for 3 days without charge.

Keith, I have Macs at home & Office. The most reliable service I've found so far (free of charge) is "Freerealtime quote". You can easily register for service at link below:

freerealtime.com

As far as trading is concerned, you can trade from same computer by simply opening another window. (ie, view quotes on one window and trade on-line on other window)

K22,

Should open an account with Datek (funded or not). Their Streamer provides real time streaming quotes (PC and Mac) at no cost. Very reliable and faster than any I've tried. Also, www.mytrack.com is an inexpensive service that provides streaming data (great service). PC only. Thinking of a PC purchase just for trading? Check here mei-microcenter.com. I have one in my office and it works just fine.
