Dave: Re Flogging the Obvious. I agree. It is hard work. I just trying to make the point that the article contained only the obvious, i.e., if you don't have some kind of logic or system that tilts the odds in your favor, you are riding a blind train. You might get lucky once in a while, but you will not prevail. The writer turned a nice phrase or two, but it did not cover any new ground and since the author wasn't offering to reveal his system or suggestions as to where to look for relationships that might prove fruitful, it wasn't useful to read the obvious.
