Terry and Bonnie...thanks for having this discussion today. I was on the fence about stopping my 401k contribution since I'm over match limit already...and have decided to stop it Monday.

.I strongly recommend that you build up enough as your own unemployment insurance...they really are a terrific way of deferring taxes. If you are not collecting other money and in the lowest tax bracket you can just pull out what you need close to tax-free and leave the rest in there at any age.
