*Hagfish in Texas* It was noteable that a letter of intent was signed by Ericy in Texas a day or two before the hearings began. This for renting property and doing some research and production or something.

A correspondent says:
--------------------------------------------------------
I once lived in the area and have good friends there now. One is a PhD in electronics, working in aviation dealing with electronic interference issues and the like. He has surprised me with some of the Ericy propaganda. He made statements regarding how CDMA is supposed to work that are almost right off Tero's web page.

The local PR is such that Ericy almost looks like a local company...
and nobody there knows who Qualcomm is. I went into some local
stores and tried to find a QC phone... not even Radio Shack had
them. I believe even Nokia has some local fabrication activity there in Texas. And of course to a Texan, even California is a foreign country.

It is highly unlikely that out in Marshall one is going to find a jury that will understand the issues at hand and will tend to
make judgements based on the superficial issues of presentation and dress.

I hate to bad mouth Texans, but I have been really suprised at
general attitudes and views of the world from their eyes.
------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, that's an opinion from somebody who wished to remain anonymous. I should hasten to add that some of my best friends are Texans, lest anyone think I am statist as well as racist, sexist, religionist and economist.

I do admit to being fishist! Hagfish are real bottom-feeding slimeballs and I don't care who thinks that is discriminatory. Clean-living New Zealand kawhai on the other hand are beautiful, fast, happy fish who enjoy surfing the unbroken orthogonality of wave functions at Piha.
