<Who started this Y2K and home appliance thing? My guess, it must have been a Y2K doomsayer.<>

On this particular thread, the ONLY person who consistently brings this issue up is YOU.

None of the rest of us care about VCR's, microwaves, etc. We ALL have consistently told you, on this thread, that articles which which talk about Y2K and household appliances drives us ALL crazy, because it minimizes the importance of the issue in areas where it really counts ... utilities, transportation, telecoms, medical equipment, manufacturing and process control industries.

Planes will NOT fall from the sky. Elevators will NOT crash to the ground. I for one, don't care if my personal PC is compliant or not. There are far more serious issues to think about.

When are you going to stop making posts on this thread about household appliances??? If you don't like when people write about this B.S. - send a letter to the editor. Do something constructive and write to the editor already. Don't waste our time here. This is one area that we all agree with you on.

Cheryl

"There's always Fedex, UPS, etc...." (Babe, that was rich!)

"PUKE MY GUTS OUT."

"I am the voice of reason!!"

ROTFLMAO...Cheeky Kid go take a pill and a nap.

(Geez, Cheryl if we could tell him all the problems we tagged with airfreight and consolidated logistics enterprises he might not be able to sleep for months...)

Yeah, Cheeky Kid Fed Ex some supplies to those Canadian soldiers who are gonna be trapped overseas...I mean you did read this part didn't you? This is YOUR GOVERNMENT talking:

>>>The military won't pull out of its international obligations, but will stop all military flights for an indefinite period starting Jan. 1, 2000.

That means about 4,000 Canadian soldiers serving outside the country will have to stockpile food and equipment so they don't run out, because no one can tell how long the planes will be grounded or needed in Canada.

Holy crap! If I were in the Canadian military overseas right now I'd think twice before I'd re-up.
