GD, I guess it must have been quite a SNIA work group meeting on the 25th............

So on February 25, some Fibrealliance vendors agreed to repledge their
support to SNIA and try to put together a MIB under that organization's
umbrella, while ultimately trying to move the two proposals together. “Our
goal is to converge the two and build a consensus,” says McGlaughlin.
“We think that will happen when people see the quality of the work we've
done in the Fiberalliance.”

So far, it looks like the road to convergence won't be easy............

Meeting Schedule

February 24, 1999
General Meeting: FibreAlliance 12,
Proposal for "Device Discovery" for
Storage Resources, and StoreX
Management Framework Presentations
8:30 am - 5:30
pm

The person writing the article must have been there or heard what happened.........At least the SNIA should gets their butts in gear or it won't matter anymore......Interesting...Nice to see some big dogs putting their shoulder to the wheel.

EMF's slides at the FCA say switches move from 4% of the total market now to 14% of a MUCH bigger market in '03.

Don't stop ANCR keep driving......
