I spent several periods of two months at the time in Canada, (the English speaking part), in fact, there is where I started learning English, followed by a span of time in the land of the Union Jack. They used to laugh at the gringos when in the middle of summer, the "south of the border cousins" would drive up with skis in their racks, ready to downhill the closest grassy hills... No doubt, these frustrated winter sports aficionados, must have been penny stock "investors" in their spare time. I remember well, all those larger than large gallons. Canadians are very patient people, who sometimes, after calmly listen to vociferous Texans, telling them how great the State of Texas is, they would make fun of the cowboy, by pointing out the obvious... They would politely ignore the size of the Western Provinces, and the NW Territories and Yukon as that would be too easy... In stead they would concentrate in the "largest" things... (American, of course). Alaskan ice and Texas oil... Coincidentally They come from... well, the largest states of the US... So they use to ask these Texas boys... "What are the largest things that you can get out of the largest states of the USA ?Now bare with me here.... you must remember they were talking to a Texan... with a very thick Texas accent... so hear his response with said Texas accent The answer would be Ice.. oil Remember to pronounce the above with thick Texas accent. <g> ________ Age is a relative thing... While I agree with the old fart... there is something to say about a youthful frame of mind... and its effect on the body. Of course your physical prowess declines as time advances, but one should always remain young at heart. Indeed now one has the advantage of experience... not only do you know "how to win"... but better yet, you know what to do with the spoils of victory. hehehehe... Look at it from this point of view... (I guess, this really applies to ladies only)... but there is something to learn from there, and if applicable, look for: "Women are most fascinating between the ages of thirty-five and forty, after they have won a few races and know how to pace themselves. Since few women ever pass forty, maximum fascination can continue indefinitely." ~ Christian Dior _____ Ah.. the proverbial m/m conspiracy.... I do not know if that is allowed to exist by the aura of mystery that surround these evil monsters of Wall Street mythology... or simply the sheer stupidity of the lesser... sub-human category, (or perhaps, missing link), of the bb "investor wanna be"... Not to mention that the simple concept that those who are in business, are there for a reason... profit. Is Money the root of all evil....? Here is Francisco D'Anconia:"So you think that money is the root of all evil? Have you ever asked what is the root of money? Money is a tool of exchange, which can not exist unless there are goods produced and men capable of producing them. Money is the material shape of the principle that men who wish to deal with one another must deal by trade and give value for value. Money is not the tool of moochers, who claim your product by tears, or of the looters, who take it from you by force. Money is made possible only by the men who produce. Is that what you consider evil?..." Opening remarks of a speech given by Francisco d'Anconia, Copper industrialist. Do you think these starry eyed bb "investors" could ever believe in that....Or would it be easier to blame the "evil uns" for the result of their own stupidity... Only recently I was responding to someone who said that reading this thread had an impact on her self-esteem.... I wonder what these grandiose speculators would do if there were no liquidity provided... by.... well, market makers... Amazing !One wonders what they would do with them all -g- Ah!.. there is the answer.... but of course... sell it to the eager beaver greater fool.... except that.... one day, there is no more greater ones.... at which time.... well, we know the drill....
