What is the status of NN's affiliates wrt capacity/trials/etc. Is this going to be a Carrier class switch with IP tunelling at OC48 rates.

I was told it's in trial now and that they've responded to an RFI based on having it in production I believe later this year. Alan told the RS conference Brian Jervis had brought OC-48 in a year ahead of schedule and also succeeded with the 320 gigabit switch. In the breakout session, he said one acquisition would be in the terabit space and another in SS7. In both cases they're companies NN's been working with for over a year, if not several. In the case of SS7, their combined products have already been deployed in a national network.
