not necessarily: while it may have an effect of a quarter point or so: WE WILL GAIN MUCH MORE IN THE CONTEXT OF SHARES ALREADY OWNED. It will also demonstrate our collective pressure. For exmaple say you own a thousand shares, average cost: 15,000. you buy 100 at 17 ( say a price rise of a half a point over what you would have paid if no one were buying: you pay 1700. but the overall value of your thousand shares has risen to 17,000: you pay another $50 for that 100, but in so doing you increase the total value of your INVESTMENT by at least 500 ( assuming that if everyone had not been buying you could have bought that 100 shares at 16 1/2). Thus, the collective impact of all of our buying, let's say between 16 1/2 and 17 1/2, if price rises because of our pressure, enhances the overall value of all of the shares we own . It does make sense -- at least it makes plausibel sense and would AT THIS MOMENT IN NAVARRE'S PRICE LIFE -- to try the experiment. I would agree with you Lynn if ipo wat not imminent; but given its proximity, this strategy makes sense.
