Interesting news over the last two days. Mergers and acquisitions heating up in telecom sector: Reltec, a manufacturer of digital loop carrier equipment gets taken out by a division of GE - Britain and Xylan a maker of ATM switching equipment is bought by Alcatel. Seams that the telephone boys really want to get into data. I wonder how long it will be before some of the data boys (networking) want to get into communications.
