A new contrarian indicator.

I was just looking at a report/sales material from United Funds.

This is one of the worst-performing groups ever--for the last several years their gold and silver funds and natural-resources funds have done nothing my lose (my) money. They even had a fund manager at one point who absconded with mcuh of the capital of one of the funds.

Finally they added a stock fund.

Thhir stock fund manager is cheerily quoting statistics that prove that since 1936 (except for 1939) every third-year presidential term has been an up market, so using these statistics he predicts a strongly probably good year and next year for stocks. Thing is--he didn't look back just a few more years. 1929 was the third year of a presidential term of office.

Int, Exactly. We all have to discover where we do our best work and feel most comfortable.
