We all can recall the number of Post Office personnel who have gone
berserk and rampaged against fellow staffers and bosses in recent years. If Y2K raises the frustration level of PO employees, or if
management takes it out on subordinates, can we expect a rash of
similar outbreaks?

And can the TAVA announcement be management's attempt to defuse
the potential for violence by telling everyone that they are doing
all they can to solve the problems? This last thought is plausible
because the PO is one of the very few Federal agencies that have opened the kimono and gone public about the situation. Anyone else
think this may be pretty sophisticated advanced damage control?

jwk, off topic -- I don't know if you're close enough to receive the
Denver Post, but in the real estate section under mountain property,
page 23L, you'll see the picture of the home we had for sale in
Fairplay. Spec home. Wouldn't you know it, just the week we advertise
it in 4 papers, we get an 3 offers on the house we're living in. The Fairplay realtor couldn't move it, (Southpark people ya know) so we
went off on our own. Looks like we're going to be moving there now.
We'll stay until we complete another home for ourselves to meet
our ever changing wants and needs. Mine are simple, a room, the internet and a bed and fridge. The wife has much bigger ideas. Funny
how that works. Actually this works out better. I had dropped the
price to just above cost to move it. Got tired of 2 notes and one home. Now I can hang loose, wait, and grab another $50k or so. Sure hate moving though. Just thought if you got the post, you may be
interesterd.
