Help we with the math?

Your math is good enough. I will help with recent history, though. In the selloff during the 10-point drop days, volume was really low, like 3 or 4 M shares. I know because I was short a lot of shares then, and I was watching it closely. We were all puzzled by that. The only explanation was that maybe daytrading had dried up on down days.

You can confirm this by looking at a daily chart, and you will see that volume on last week's up days is 3x the previous 2 weeks down days.

I believe it's a 3 month daily avg volume. That would include those crazy 30 million share days at the beginning of January. Volume is rising relative since the recent sell off days.
