Robert, Goldman Sachs are as human as you and I. Don't let the name alone make you believe that they are infallible. As for why I believe that the SBN article premises are unattainable, please read my previous post.

May I ask why you stated that "as PAinvestor pretends, all is great in DRAM land" Do I give you the impression that my opinions are misguided and naive?

>>Why would Goldman Sachs downgrade MU on Friday morning before the open when (i) it was already down more than 15 points from its high and (ii) as PAInvestor pretends, all is great in DRAM land? Goldman has very strong ties to MU as John Graybill has noted on this thread, so my guess would be that they know something<<

Robert,

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Goldman downgrade it to a Market *Outperform*?!? And if I am right then my read from Goldman's downgrade is that they still expect Micron to outperform many of it's competitors!?!

I want to make it clear that I am not a Micron investor just trying to figure out a plan to make a few bucks from this price volatility and want to make sure that I have all the bases covered through due diligence.

I would be curious to hear your take...

Good Luck to All!

Regards,
Karim

Robert, don't automatically make the assumption that fundamentals will determine the near term price movements of MU. People (that trade MU) are rather insane right now, compared to their usual level of insanity. I bet a well placed tout could cause the stock to gap upwards, but not vice versa with another downgrade.
